Ride To Conquer Cancer, Training Progress, Part 17

Good news! I can start riding again!

I attend my first physical therapy session with Chad at Kort Physical Therapy-Georgetown. Nice people work here. Chad knows a lot about muscles and tendons. My right leg's quads and hams are tighter than my left leg's. Chad shows me exercises to correct this. He also gives me an electrically-driven steroid treatment for my right knee. (I'm really glad I shaved my legs). I'll be getting more of these. I'll be seeing Chad twice a week. He says I can start riding again BUT I need to minimize hill climbing for a while. He suggests I move back my bike seat to reduce the angle and strain on my knee. I'll definitely give it the ol' college try.
